Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: a Year of Food Life by Barbara Kingsolver.
This book makes me want to run away and grow my own food. I am not ordinarily a gushy gal, but reading Kingsolver's account of her family's decision to limit their consumption to only locally seasonal meats and produce (and, of course, the emotional, spiritual, and ecological goods generated from that decision), has me feeling positively warm and fuzzy for rustic livin', family, and dirt.
