About the Ratings:

Each place is given an "according to me" rating on a
-3 to +3 scale based on its selection, atmosphere, service, and quality. I cannot claim to be unbiased, but I believe that I am fair.

As I have no expense account for these outings, I'm not likely to return to a restaurant in which I am disappointed. If you love somewhere that I've hated, however, feel free to drop me a note and I'll see about going back to give them a second chance.

Your heart is racing. Your face, covered in sweet berry guts. You're still salivating. God, that was awesome.

+ 2 Tell Your Ma:

Like a fifth-grader rushing home to tell Mom about Timmy's new trampoline, you can't wait to share the good news about this restaurant with your sweet Ma.

+1 Apple, Unremarkable:

You may not rave about the perfectly decent apple you snacked on yesterday, but those apples keep the world turnin'.

0 Glass of Tepid Water:

Eh. Maybe you're thirsty?

-1 Stale Bagel:

It might not be your first choice for breakfast, but it'll do just fine – some days it's just about getting fed and moving on.

-2 Squishy Cucumber:

If you want cucumber in your falafel sandwich badly enough, you can cut around the squishy parts.

-3 Better to Starve:

Life it too short to eat really gross food, even if that means skipping a meal once in a while.
